According to Sharad Pawar, a committee would be established to decide who should hold the position of party chief.

In his speech, NCP chief Sharad Pawar , who has led the party since its founding in 1999, declared: “I have three years remaining of my Rajya Sabha membership in Parliament, during which I will concentrate on matters relevant to Maharashtra and India, with the caveat of not accepting any responsibility. It is vital to take a step back after a lengthy time of public life from May 1, 1960, until May 1, 2023. I have therefore chosen to resign from my position as leader of the Nationalist Congress Party.

A committee will be formed to decide who should be given the responsibility of the party chief’s post, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said. He said the panel should have senior members including Supriya Sule, Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel, Jayant Patil, Anil Deshmukh, Rajesh Tope, Chhagan Bhujbal and others.

“Dear colleagues, I am leaving my position as president but I am not leaving public life. “Constant travel” has integrated itself into my daily life. I’ll keep going to public gatherings and events. I will be available to you all as normal whether I’m in Delhi, Delhi, Mumbai, Baramati, Pune, or any other location in India,” Sharad Pawar assured the NCP employees.
