Sahil Gehlot, who is accused of strangling Nikki Yadav, 25, of Haryana with a charge wire, admitted to the crime during questioning that Nikki was with him on February 9 before she was killed between 8:30 and 9:30 am on February 10 at a parking lot near Nigam Bodh Ghat.

According to the crime section of the Delhi police, the accused turned off Nikki’s phone after her death, kept it with him, and removed her SIM card.

The phone that belonged to Nikki Yadav was also retrieved from accused Sahil.

Crime branch sources state that the accused Sahil Gehlot has been under intense investigation since this morning and that he was also escorted to Kashmere Gate, where he killed Nikki in the automobile.

According to reports, the Police are also preparing to take Sahil to the Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Train Station where he had taken Nikki the night of the murder in order to determine the full sequence and the location and time of Nikki’s death.

The Crime Branch team visited Nikki’s apartment on Wednesday afternoon and took control of the apartment’s CCTV DVR, which is the case’s most crucial piece of evidence.

Accused Sahil Gehlot entered the apartment after arriving between midnight and one in the morning, according to the CCTV video from the apartment, and then he brought Nikki Yadav outside.

The crime branch team has also examined the CCTV video from many roads in Param Puri, Uttam Nagar, and taken control of it.

Also, the criminal branch team interrogated numerous residents of the apartment regarding Nikki Yadav and charged Sahil Gehlot.

The funeral services for Nikki Yadav, who was reportedly strangled by her lover with a charging wire, were held earlier on Wednesday in Jhajjar, Haryana.

Police claim that Nikki’s lover strangled her to death after she learned of his upcoming marriage to an other lady.

Sahil Gehlot, the accused, was taken into custody on Tuesday and brought before a Delhi court before being placed on five days of police detention.

The accused is being held on remand for five days, according to DCP Satish Kumar of the Crime Branch, and an investigation is being conducted to determine the route travelled that evening.
