On December 13, 2023, a team from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling was ceremoniously flagged in by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt in a historic event marking the successful completion of “Mission Antarctica.” Three trekkers participated in the 2021 expedition, which was headed by Group Captain Jai Kishan.
