Our Commitment

Credent TV is committed to accuracy, fairness, transparency and accountability in its journalism.

Despite careful editorial review, errors may occasionally occur in published articles, videos, graphics, social media posts or other content. When a material factual error is brought to our attention and verified, we will correct it promptly and transparently.

What We Correct

Corrections may be made when published content contains:

  • Incorrect facts, figures, dates, names or designations
  • Misquoted or inaccurately attributed statements
  • Incorrect photographs, captions, graphics or video information

  • Translation or transcription errors that alter the intended meaning
  • Other significant factual inaccuracies

Differences of opinion, interpretation or editorial perspective do not automatically qualify as factual errors. However, all genuine concerns will be reviewed fairly.

How to Request a Correction

Readers, viewers, organisations and other concerned parties may submit a correction request through our official Contact Us page or by writing to our official email address.

A correction request should preferably include:

  • The headline or title of the relevant content
  • The URL of the article, video or social media post
  • A clear explanation of the disputed information
  • The accurate information being proposed
  • Supporting documents, records or credible sources, wherever available
  • The requester’s name and contact details

Anonymous requests may also be reviewed when they contain sufficient verifiable evidence.

Review Process

Every legitimate correction request is reviewed by the relevant editorial team.

During the review, Credent TV may:

  • Examine the original sources and editorial records
  • Contact the reporter, editor, contributor or producer involved
  • Seek clarification from the person or organisation concerned
  • Consult official records, primary documents and other credible sources
  • Request additional information from the person submitting the complaint

We aim to acknowledge substantial correction requests within three working days. The final review period may vary depending on the complexity of the matter and the availability of verifiable information.

Submission of a correction request does not automatically mean that the published content is inaccurate.

How Corrections Are Published

When a material factual error is confirmed, Credent TV may:

  • Correct the inaccurate information in the original content
  • Add a correction or clarification note explaining the material change
  • Update the headline, caption, graphic, thumbnail or video description
  • Publish a separate correction when the error is serious or widely circulated
  • Correct or clarify the information on the relevant social media platform, wherever reasonably possible

Minor Changes

Clarifications and Updates

New developments added after publication will ordinarily be identified as an update, rather than a correction.

Headlines, Photographs and Visual Content

If a headline, photograph, caption, thumbnail, graphic or other visual element creates a materially inaccurate or misleading impression, it may be corrected, replaced or clarified.

Corrections to videos may be made through:

  • Updated titles or descriptions
  • On-screen notices
  • Pinned comments
  • Corrected excerpts
  • Replacement or withdrawal of the video in exceptional circumstances

Content Removal

Credent TV does not normally remove accurate published content merely because it is controversial, critical or inconvenient.

Content may be removed, restricted or withdrawn in exceptional circumstances, including:

  • A serious and uncorrectable factual error
  • A valid legal requirement or court order
  • A significant privacy or safety concern
  • Copyright infringement
  • Fabricated, manipulated or unauthorised material
  • A serious violation of Credent TV’s editorial standards

Where appropriate, an editorial note may explain why the content was removed or withdrawn.

Right to Respond

Individuals or organisations who are the subject of serious allegations should be given a reasonable opportunity to respond, wherever practicable.

A relevant response received after publication may be added to the report as an update, provided it contributes materially to the accuracy and fairness of the content.

Complaints Made in Bad Faith

Credent TV will not alter accurate reporting merely because of pressure, intimidation, political disagreement, commercial influence or coordinated online complaints.

Requests containing threats, abusive language or knowingly false claims may not receive a response. However, any verifiable factual issue contained within such a request may still be independently reviewed.

Editorial Independence

Correction decisions are made on the basis of evidence, accuracy and editorial standards.

Advertisers, sponsors, political organisations, government authorities, commercial partners and other external parties are not permitted to improperly influence correction decisions.
