Preparations for Diwali 2024 Ayodhya : A Grand Spectacle

The ‘Deepotsav-2024’ is being meticulously planned, with the Uttar Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ensuring that this Diwali in Ayodhya will be unlike any other. The preparations have reached their final stage, with the highlight being the lighting of 28 lakh diyas along the banks of the Sarayu River.

Ayodhya has been buzzing with activity, as artists are conducting trials for laser, sound, and drone shows that will mesmerize visitors. The goal is to create a captivating atmosphere where the city not only celebrates Diwali but also showcases India’s rich cultural heritage.

Security Arrangements: Ensuring a Safe Celebration

Given the scale of the event, security arrangements in Ayodhya are extensive. Uttar Pradesh’s Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar is personally overseeing the security measures to ensure the safety of the thousands of devotees and tourists expected to visit. Ayodhya has been transformed into a hub of activity as police and security forces work round the clock to ensure the smooth running of the event.

This is the 8th year of the Deepotsav celebrations, which began in 2017 after the BJP government came into power in Uttar Pradesh. The scale has grown each year, and this time, the lighting of 28 lakh diyas will symbolize the culmination of years of effort to restore Ayodhya to its spiritual prominence.

Ram Mandir: Special Diyas for the First Diwali in Ayodhya

One of the most special aspects of Diwali 2024 will be the lighting of a unique diya in the newly constructed Ram Mandir. The temple, which was inaugurated earlier this year in January, will host its first-ever Diwali celebration since the installation of the deity.

The Deepotsav will not just be about lighting lamps; it will be a celebration of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. The event will bring together traditional art forms from across the country, alongside international representations.
