Sumitra Guha SPIC MACAY Jaipur Concerts opened with a deep spiritual resonance on 4 August 2025, as Padma Shri awardee and celebrated classical vocalist Vidushi Sumitra Guha Ji presented two heartfelt performances in Jaipur’s educational hubs: DAV Centenary School and Gyan Vihar University.

At 10:30 AM in the school auditorium, Sumitra Guha SPIC MACAY Jaipur Concerts graced students with three mesmerizing selections:

  • Raag Bairagi Bhairav – “Sur sur se saadh le rasik gao” set in Teentaal
  • Raag Gurjari Todi – “Baje baje baje damru” crafted in Drut Ektal
  • Meera Bhajan – “Main to saware rang rachi,” an original creation by the artist herself

    • “Savre Salone Sundar Shyam” (Drut Ektal)
  • Raag Charukeshi – a lively original in Drut Ektal
