Reengus, 7 Dec, 2024:Vedanta PG Women’s College, Reengus, is currently conducting a 15-day self-defense training camp for its students. The camp, organized under the guidance of SP Bhavan Bhushan Yadav, Sikar, aims to empower female students with the skills to protect themselves.
College, Principal, Prof. Dr. Shubha Sharma, emphasized the need for self-defense training for women. Despite their significant strides in various fields, women’s safety remains a pressing concern. This training camp is designed to equip students with the ability to defend themselves in challenging situations. The camp covers various martial arts forms including judo, karate, boxing, and wrestling.

Trainers Ms. Neelam and Mrs. Rekha from the Sikar Police Department highlighted the dual benefits of self-defense training. It not only strengthens physical capabilities but also fosters mental resilience. By overcoming fear and boosting self-confidence, these skills prepare women to face any situation with courage.
The trainers are also teaching practical tips like carrying self-defense tools and strategies to confront challenging situations effectively. Moreover, they are educating students about their legal rights to self-defense.
