India’s Jaipur (Rajasthan), 20 November (ANI): The police reported on Sunday that a wanted man was hurt after being allegedly shot in the leg by police during a shootout in Jaipur’s Ramnagariya neighbourhood.
According to officials, the suspect, who goes by the name Raj Hudda, is a notorious member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and was wanted for several crimes, including murder.
A joint team of Rajasthan police and the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrived at the scene and completely covered the area, leaving no room for Hudda and the other two to flee, according to DCP (East) Karan Sharma, who claimed that the Punjab Police and Rajasthan police received a tip-off about Hudda’s presence in Jaipur.

They were warned by the police, but when they continued to resist arrest, Hudda pulled a gun and began firing at the police team.
Hudda was shot in one of his legs while cross-firing, according to Sharma, who also noted that two of his thugs were apprehended during the gunfight.
Hudda is receiving treated in a hospital, according to Sharma.
The thug, Raj Hudda, was reportedly sought by authorities in relation to the alleged murder of a man on November 10 in the Faridkot region of Punjab.
According to them, Hakam Singh, a member of the Punjab police, was also hurt in the event. (ANI)
