A 26-year-old man who was known to the mother of the victim, a three-and-a-half-year-old girl, sexually assaulted and killed her.
On Monday, the incident took place at Kamakshipalya, West Bengaluru. A senior police officer claimed that although the suspect first denied sexually abusing the girl, a medical examination proved him wrong.
The suspect, who was detained on Tuesday night, was known to the girl’s mother and was a frequent visitor to their home.

A 26-year-old man who was known to the mother of the victim, a three-and-a-half-year-old girl, sexually assaulted and killed her.
On Monday, he returned to the house and allegedly assaulted and beat the girl to death, according to the police, who also stated they had opened an investigation under the Pocso Act and IPC provisions connected to rape and murder.
“Thrashed for using the restroom in her clothing”
According to sources, the suspect allegedly admitted to the police that the girl urinated in her clothes when he and the mother were at the residence. He assaulted her out of rage, and when she lost consciousness, he took her to the hospital, where the medical staff pronounced her dead.
