During a social media video, a teenage rapper points a gun at his head and mistakenly pulls the trigger, killing himself

The New York Post reports that on Sunday, May 15, a terrible tragedy claimed the life of a 17-year-old budding rapper. While making a video for social media, the adolescent unintentionally shot himself, which resulted in his death.

Although his identity has not yet been made public by the police, the deceased man was recognized on social media as Suffolk-born rapper Rylo Huncho. According to the circulating video, Huncho is seen dancing and singing while brandishing a pistol with a laser sight. Huncho appears to be manipulating the gun and pointing it in his direction in the unsettling video. The camera drops, capturing no more footage of the action after a gunshot is heard.

While the situation is being looked into by the authorities, all signs point to an inadvertent act. A community has been left in sadness by the catastrophe. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help Huncho’s mother during this trying period.

“He was her only son!” The rapper’s cousin left a comment on the post. “She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could.”

“We are currently investigating if his death was due to a suicide or an accident. However, anything—I mean—can assist her during this difficult moment,” the cousin penned.

“It was always her and her son.”

The United States’ complex gun culture is made much more worrisome when one considers the effects it has on kids and teenagers.
