According to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which became the fastest Hindi film to cross the 300 crore mark in India, is sparking a revolution in the country. Anurag, who has been praising the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer since its release last week, said in a new interview that audiences had flocked to theatres to see the film, which was released after facing ban and boycott calls in recent weeks.

Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, and Dimple Kapadia also star in Pathaan. Pathaan’s first-week total in India is now 315 crore nett. Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, was released on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Pathaan has set numerous records since its initial release. Previously, the film became India’s fastest Hindi film to reach the 200 crore club.

In a recent interview with RJ Stutee on Hindustan Times’ celebrity talk show Aur Batao, Anurag said, “Apart from love, films can bring kranti (revolution) in the country.” “Hamesh hi aati hai filmon se. Anurag had previously praised Pathaan and Shah Rukh’s performance after seeing it on its first day of release. “Shah Rukh Khan itna haseen, itna sundar pehle kabhi laga nahi,” he told reporters.
