Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation’s (OCB) private banking division, Bank of Singapore (BoS), has announced the appointment of Jason Moo as its new CEO. After Bloomberg’s publication on December 26, 2022, the BoS makes its announcement. Starting on March 6, Moo will formally succeed Bahren Shaari.

The past career of Jason Moo

Moo has over 25 years of experience in financial markets, private banking, and wealth management. This includes time spent in New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore in addition to 22 years with Goldman Sachs. Moo served as the CEO of Goldman Sachs from 2017 until 2019 (Singapore).

Moo comes to BoS from Julius Baer, where he served as a branch manager in Singapore and head of private banking for Southeast Asia. He has worked not just in Singapore but also in New York and Hong Kong. In 2015, Shaari was appointed CEO. As a result of the acquisition, Barclays Asia was effectively integrated into the bank under his direction, and the bank’s assets under control increased from US$55 billion to US$109 billion as of September 30th, 2022.
