Champion Ranji teams will now receive 5 crore: The BCCI increases prize money for all domestic competitions; women will receive an increase of 833%.

The prize money for its domestic tournaments will increase, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The prize money for domestic women’s competitions, such as the Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, has also increased. On Sunday night, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah posted this information to social media. This means that the Ranji champion will now receive Rs 5 crore rather than Rs 2 crore.

However, the winners of the women’s senior ODI trophy will now receive about 833% more in prize money. The women’s champions will now receive Rs 50 lakh instead of the previous Rs 6 lakh, an increase of 833%.

The Ranji Trophy winners play the rest of India in a five-day match for the Irani Cup. The previous Irani Cup champions, Rest of India, defeated Madhya Pradesh.

Winner of the Duleep Trophy will receive one crore.

The winners of the Duleep Trophy will receive Rs 1 crore from Rs 40 lakh. The prize for second place has increased from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. First-class competition known as the Duleep Trophy is held between six zones. The previous champion, West Zone, defeated South Zone to claim the crown.

The amount of prizes for both List-A competitions increased.

The vijay hazare champion in List-A domestic competitions will receive Rs 1 crore from Rs 30 lakh, and the runner-up will receive Rs 50 lakh from Rs 15 lakh. By defeating Maharashtra, Saurashtra took home the Vijay Hazare Trophy title the previous year.

The prize for winning the Professor B Deodhar Trophy has increased from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 40 lakh. The second-place finisher will receive Rs 20 lakh instead of Rs 15 lakh. T-20 winner will receive 80 lakhs.

Domestic competitions will begin on June 28.

The Duleep Trophy competition, which gets underway on June 28, will mark the start of the domestic cricket season in India for 2023–24. Ranji Trophy matches will start on January 5 of the following year. Six zonal teams will compete for the Duleep Trophy. Deodhar Trophy (List A) matches will then be played from July 24 to August 3, Irani Cup matches will be played from October 1 to October 5, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches will be played from October 16 to November 6, and Vijay Hazare Trophy matches will be played from November 23 to December 15.
