A new interview with Zoom features Farida Jalal talking about her ‘not being in contact’ remark for Shah Rukh Khan, and how it was misconstrued. The actress from Heeramandi had also made a similar comment about Salman Khan.

“I mentioned earlier that the numbers I have might be outdated. They have to have been altered by them. That was all I had to say,” stated Farida Jalal.

The veteran actress claimed that because she included Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in her statement, it became a headline.

“It was an innocent question,” she continued. How should I respond?”

Farida Jalal added that when her remarks are changed, it affects her.

“People telling me that I’ve uttered things like ‘Bahot farak aa gaya hai Shah Rukh Khan mein’ affects me a little. Why would I say something like that?” The actress DDLJ enquired.

Farida Jalal went on to say that Shah Rukh Khan has improved throughout the years. “As an actor, he has grown so experienced since the movie. He really is the finest we have,” she continued.

Farida Jalal revealed that there is “nobody on that line” and that SRK’s “secretary is not kind” when she calls his number.

In the films Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Farida Jalal collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan.
