The function became available to Google One customers in the US in March
Google is allowing Google One subscribers in India access to the Dark Web Report service. The dark web, which is designed to hide users’ identities and whereabouts, acts as a hub for hackers and other criminals to carry out illegal activities like the sale and purchase of highly sensitive personal data about people all over the world. Users will be able to trace the whereabouts of their personal data on the Internet. Google One introduced its services to all US users earlier this year. Previously, subscribers of the Premium 2TB plan were the only ones who could use the service.
Names, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, and other personal information can be used to perpetrate crimes like identity theft or financial fraud. Users will be notified by the Google Dark Web Report if and when their personal information is discovered on the dark web, enabling them to take the necessary precautions and take the necessary steps to safeguard themselves against such fraud.

When the dark web report option is turned on, users enter and choose the data they want to monitor in the monitoring profile. The program warns the user whose data has been compromised and provides guidance on how to protect that information if any relevant data is discovered on the dark web. The dark web can be checked once for one email address by regular Google users, but they won’t get ongoing tracking or new search notifications.
The Dark Web Report lets Google One members check to see if their name, birthdate, up to ten email addresses, and up to ten phone numbers are available on the dark web. They can also turn on real-time dark web tracking to receive updates on fresh findings as well as advice and assistance.
Along with observations that match the personal information that users have on their monitoring profile, the Dark Web Report will also highlight additional relevant information that might be discovered in hacking efforts and data dumps. Users have the option to delete or deactivate tracking at any time, and Google manages the data that is saved in monitoring profiles to comply with its privacy guidelines.
