The Englishman Jason Roy has been added to the roster of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Jason Roy has been acquired by KKR for Rs 2.8 crore in the IPL 2023. Shreyas Iyer of KKR has been disqualified from the tournament, and Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has announced that he will not be playing this year.
Shakib claims that he has not yet participated in a Test match for Bangladesh against Ireland. After that, he won’t play in the tournament this year for personal reasons. However, Liton Das, a member of both the KKR and the Bangladeshi teams, won’t join the team until after the Test match against Ireland.

Jason Roy’s previous team was Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Jason Roy last played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2021 season. He had previously appeared in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He participated in five games in 2021, recording 150 runs, including a half-century. The 32-year-old has participated in 64 T20 Internationals for England, amassing 1522 runs at a strike rate of 137.61 with 8 fifty-pluses.
Shakib cost Rs 1.5 crore to be purchased by KKR.
Shakib Al Hasan was purchased by KKR for Rs 1.5 crore during the IPL 2023 auction. Even before the season began, rumours between the franchise and Shakib were rampant. Shakib and Liton Dus’ release has been refused by the BCB, or Bangladesh Cricket Board. in order for both to take part in the Mirpur Test.
Although at first the team believed Shakib and Das could forgo the Test match and join KKR, it did not happen.
Gurnoor now plays for Punjab Kings.
Raj Angad Bawa, an all-around player for the Punjab Kings, has been injured and will not participate in this league season. Gurnoor Singh Brar has been added to the franchise’s team in his place. Gurnoor has been signed by Punjab for Rs 20 lakh.
