Saachi Marwah, Nitish Rana‘s wife, also expressed her disappointment at the Delhi Police’s lack of support following the incident. Saachi claims that while she was riding her two-wheeler back from work, the attackers started following her automobile. She was shocked to see them proceed to deliberately crash into her car for no apparent reason.

KKR captain’s wife Saachi states that when she tried to report the event to the Delhi Police, she did not get the help she had hoped for. She allegedly received advice to drop the case since she had already arrived home safely while on the phone with the police and attempting to submit a complaint.

The police officers further advised her to record the car registration numbers of the criminals in case a subsequent incidence resembled this one.

Saachi posted about her encounter on Instagram, venting her despair and rage.

“Just a casual day in Delhi, on my way back from work,” she wrote in her post. These men started ramming my car at random! Simply for no reason, I was pursued and chased, and when I called the police to complain, they advised me, “Now that you’ve made it home safely, let it go!” Aye aye Captain, next time I’ll also grab their phone numbers! Next time, number note kar lena’ (note the number next time).

Saachi’s Instagram post describes the upsetting experience and draws attention to the apparent lack of prompt action and compassion on the part of the authorities.
