New Zealand is back in a T20 tournament: Pakistan scored only 10 runs and lost by 4 runs after losing 3 wickets in the final 9 balls.

The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore hosted the third game of the five-match T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand. New Zealand battled back to defeat Pakistan by 4 runs in the third match after dropping the first two games.

The Pakistani team had the upper hand and needed 15 runs in the final over to win, but James Neesham’s two wickets turned the match around. Pakistan only managed to score 10 runs in the final 9 balls while losing 3 wickets. New Zealand has come back from being down 1-2 in the series after this win.

New Zealand scored 163 runs while batting first but lost 5 wickets. Pakistan’s response was limited to 159 runs after they lost all of their wickets.

Latham played the innings as captain.

Tom Latham, the captain of New Zealand, chose to bat first after winning the toss. Only 20 runs were lost when New Zealand lost its first wicket. Chad Bowes, the opener, was out after scoring 7 runs off of 9 balls. Latham played the innings as captain, scoring 64 runs in 49 balls. In his innings, he also hit 2 sixes and 7 fours. In addition to Latham, Darryl Mitchell also contributed to a 33-run inning.

A further failure for Babar-Rizwan

Yet another failure for Babar-Rizwan. Both teams lost early wickets in the first T20 match, but Pakistan came out on top. In the second T20, they both simultaneously made a comeback. Rizwan scored 50 runs, while Babar amassed an unbeatable 101. Both players had lost their wickets simultaneously in the third T20 with a score of just 17 runs. Babar arrived back at the pavilion first with a team score of 6 runs. By being caught by Milne, Ravindra Rachin was able to take his wicket. Azam faced six balls, but he could only manage one run. Rizwan was also dismissed at the same time with a score of 17 runs.

After being stumped by Rachin’s ball, Captain Latham was out. In ten balls, Rizwan managed to score six runs. Following that, Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman attempted to manage the innings. Ayub and Zaman 17, who had scored 10 runs, were both out.

Iftkhar Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf oversaw the Pakistani team’s innings.

Pakistan’s sputtering innings were handled by Iftikhar Ahmed and Faheem Ashraf. Together, they scored 61 runs for the eighth wicket. Ahmed completed a 60-run, 24-ball inning. In his innings, he also hit 3 fours and 6 sixes. Ashraf also scored 27 runs in 14 balls at the same time. As long as both were alive, Pakistan was expected to win.

On the second ball, no runs were scored. For a four, hit the third ball. Neesham dismissed Ahmed on the fifth ball to give the game to New Zealand.

The Pakistani team was also all out as soon as Haris Rauf was bowled on the final ball.
