On Sunday, Rahul Gandhi participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Haryana, walking alongside retired top defense officials, including former Army commander General Deepak Kapoor.

By Supriya Bhardwaj: On Sunday, Deepak Kapoor, a former Army Chief General, and other senior retired defense officials joined Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Haryana.

The Congress yatra resumed in the morning from Dodwa in Karnal’s Nilokheri region and entered the Kurukshetra district later that day under cold waves and thick fog. Rahul Gandhi led the yatra as several Congress supporters were seen dancing while bare-chested.

The Yatra’s Haryana leg includes senior party figures Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Randeep Singh Surjewala, and Kumari Selja. Gandhi will hoist the national flag in Srinagar, where the yatra will come to an end on January 30 after departing from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh have so far been covered by the march.
