Rani Mukerji

Actress Rani Mukerji sobbed upon seeing Sagarika Chakaraborty during a promotional event for her next movie Mrs. Chatterjee VS. Norway.

When Rani Mukerji met Sagarika Chakaraborty, the mother whose life the film is based on, at a promotional event for her upcoming movie Mrs. Chatterjee VS. Norway, she started crying. Rani portrays Debika Chatterjee in the movie, a bereaved mother who battles the country to regain custody of her kids. The Journey of a Mother by Sagarika Chakaraborty served as the inspiration for the movie.

Rani was overcome with emotion when director Karan Johar disclosed that Sagarika Chakraborty was also there during a promotional event for the movie. Producer Nikhil Advani attended the event with Karan and Rani.

As Sagarika approached the stage, Rani was captured in a video by a paparazzo account on Instagram concealing her face with her hands. Karan Johar tried to comfort Rani as she turned around and dried her tears. Rani had chosen a white sari for the event. Rani then moved forward and received a firm hug from Sagarika, which caused the actor to smile. In the distance, “Subho Subho” could be heard playing.

Sagarika had previously responded to the movie’s teaser and claimed that she had sobbed while seeing Rani go through the same experience. It’s difficult to express how it feels to see my tale being shared, she remarked. I experienced a sense of reliving my struggle when seeing the trailer. I think it’s crucial that people are aware of this tale in order to understand how, as the tragic events in Germany show, immigrant women and parents are still treated unfairly today. I’ve been in contact with Dhara, the mother of the kidnapped Ariha Shah. I beg of you all to support her as I do. I offer you my unwavering support as a mother to mother.

I want to express my gratitude to Rani Mukerji for helping me to express my sorrow and the challenges I faced in trying to get my kids back. She is a mother herself, and I appreciate her for portraying a mother’s traumatic experience on screen with such dignity that I sobbed when I saw her in the trailer,”

The director of Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway is Ashima Chibber. It is based on Sagarika and her husband’s real-life experience of being separated from their two children in 2011. In addition to Rani Mukerji, Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh, and Neena Gupta play important roles. The date of release is slated for March 17.
