Sara Ali Khan admits that she urged Anand L Rai to take her place in “Atrangi Re.”

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan wanted to forgo her upcoming movie after her last one, “Love Aaj Kal,” bombed at the box office. Fortunately for her, director Aanand L Rai was able to persuade her otherwise.

The actress spoke about having to “forgive” herself for the failure of the Imtiaz Ali film in which she and Kartik Aaryan played the key roles in her most recent interview. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, the actress stated that the failure of the movie inspired her to call Rai and ask him to take her role in “Atrangi Re.”

The director, however, declined and handed her some words of wisdom instead. “He instructed me, “Beta, if you fall, you get up and sprint, not just get up. The Sara Ali Khan also acknowledged that she was in “la-la world” during her early years in the business and was unable to see things clearly.

She said to Filmy Companion, “I wasn’t seeing the mirror for what it was; I was being excessively effusive, attention seeking, people-pleasing, and noisy.”
She stated that when she looked back on her early work and behaviour, it was “not founded in reality.”
The actress also stated in a different interview with PTI that the failure of her most recent releases caused her to reevaluate her artistic decisions and select scripts that will give her “creative joy.”
