Delhi’s per capita income increased by more than 14% in the current fiscal year, to Rs 4,44,768—a noteworthy accomplishment. The government of Delhi’s Economic and Statistics department has produced the Statistical Handbook-2023, which showcases the remarkable socio-economic advancements in the capital.
Important Economic Indicators Per Capita Income Boom:
When compared to the national average, Delhi’s per capita income increased by 158%, from Rs 3,89,529 to Rs 4,44,769.
Public Services Benchmarks
: The Kejriwal administration set some excellent new standards in this area, particularly in public transportation. In 2023, there were 41 lakh passengers who commuted by bus every day on average.
Leadership in Electric Vehicles: With 7,200 buses on the road, including 1,300 electric buses, Delhi is leading the way in the electric vehicle revolution.

: With rises every six months, Delhi has the highest minimum wages in the nation, at Rs 17,494 for unskilled labor, Rs 19,279 for semi-skilled labor, and Rs 21,215 for skilled labor.
Prioritizing Social Care
: The Kejriwal government focuses providing care for the elderly, daughters, and those with special needs. It also offers financial aid to people with special needs, pensions, and benefits to girls through the Ladli Scheme.
Covid-19 Financial Aid:
The Chief Minister’s Covid-19 Family Financial Assistance Scheme provided financial aid to 11,570 people in 2022–2023, demonstrating the government’s commitment to helping its residents in difficult circumstances.
