Vikas Purohit has been appointed by Meta to lead the Global Business Group in India.

Former Tata Cliq CEO Vikas Purohit has been appointed head of the global business group in India by the social media platform Meta. On Monday, Meta released a statement in response to this information (January 9).

Vikas Purohit will oversee the company’s main business.

According to a statement from the business, “Meta has appointed Vikas Purohit as Director, Global Business Group in India to lead the strategy and delivery of Charter focused on the nation’s leading advertisers and agency partners.” Arun Srinivas, director and head of Meta’s advertising business in India, will be Purohit’s immediate supervisor.

Purohit will oversee Meta’s interactions with the largest companies and agency ecosystem in India. They will report to him and represent the company’s main agency teams, business solutions teams, and vertical business teams.

Purohit has over 20 years of experience in the industry.

Purohit, a graduate of the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, has more than 20 years of experience in senior business, sales, and marketing positions with organizations like Tata Cliq, Amazon, Reliance Brands, Aditya Birla Group, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Purohit will now build a significant ecosystem of business for Meta in India after joining large corporations. Vikas has a wealth of marketing and advertising experience. Vikas, who has experience working with major brands, will collaborate closely with major corporations, advertisers, and agencies in India for Meta. He will improve Meta’s connection to the dominant brand in this area. His main goal will be to boost the business’s revenue.

In December 2022, Vikas Purohit resigned from Tata Clique.

Purohit was the CEO of Tata Cliq before he joined Meta. He served as Tata Cliq’s Chief Operating Officer from 2016 to 2018. Following this, he was given a promotion and appointed CEO of Tata Cliq in the year 2018. He left Tata Click in December 2022.

Aditya Birla Group was where Purohit began his professional career.
