Pakistan wishes to host a World Cup match in Chennai-Kolkata: The ICC informed BCCI of its choice; the BCCI must make the final decision.
Two historical grounds in India… the first is Chepauk in Chennai, and the second is Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He is Pakistaan’s first choice for the ODI Cricket World Cup, which will be held this October-November. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed its preference to the International Cricket Council (ICC), but the BCCI has the final say. This claim was made by the news agency PTI, which cited ICC sources.
Let us remind you that the World Cup will begin on October 5, and 12 venues have been chosen. Chennai and Kolkata are also included. Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Rajkot, Bengaluru, Delhi, Indore, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Dharamshala are the remaining ten locations.

According to sources, discussions about this are currently taking place at the ICC level. means that ICC and PCB have agreed to this decision.
In the North and the South, BCCI wants one centre each.
According to a BCCI official who spoke to Bhaskar under the condition of anonymity, the Indian Board also prefers that Pakistaan’s World Cup matches only take place in one or two cities. For this, BCCI may choose a centre in the North and a centre in the South. In other words, an agreement between BCCI and PCB regarding the name of Chennai is anticipated. Kolkata is located in Eastern India, yes. Delhi’s chances may improve if the board chooses a centre from the North itself.
Pakistan ends its boycott of the World Cup
In the midst of the ongoing conflict over the Asia Cup, Pakistani media reported that the Pakistani team might not agree to travel to India for the World Cup if the Indian team does not tour Paki. for the Asia Cup. However, Pakistan quickly understood that it was not prepared to engage India in a conflict over this matter. Then PCB officials began claiming that they had never discussed boycotting the World Cup.

The BCCI and the PCB are currently at odds over the scheduling of the Asia Cup. The BCCI has stated unequivocally that the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. He wants the Asia Cup to be held somewhere neutral. PCB, on the other hand, has stated that if the Asia Cup is moved outside of Pakistan, it will boycott the event.
Pakistan last visited Eden Gardens in 2016
The last time Pakistan’s team competed there was in the T20 World Cup in 2016. India and Pakistan were the opponents. India won by 6 wickets in this match.
