After RRR’s Significant Win At Critics Choice Awards, SS Rajamouli Declares “Mera Bharat Mahaan”

RRR has received Critics Choice Awards for Best Foreign Film and Best Song, respectively.

Washington:Director S.S Rajamouli is presently savouring the triumph of his magnum opus movie “RRR,” which, in addition to winning the prestigious Golden Globe, also took home two additional prizes at the 28th annual Critics’ Choice Awards.

On Monday, the “RRR” team sent a video of SS Rajamouli’s winning acceptance speech at the award ceremony in Los Angeles to their Twitter account.distributing the team’s video “The #CriticsChoiceawards’ BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM prize went to RRR. In the video, SS Rajamouli remarked in accepting the honour, “My mother Rajnandani believed that education was overrated and urged me to read comic books and picture books as well as to express my creativity. My sister-in-law Sreevalli, who has grown to be like a mother to me, constantly motivates me to strive to be my best self.”

At the award event, the “Baahubali” director also spoke about his wife and daughters.

My wife Rama, she is a costume designer of my films but more than that she is the designer of my life. If she is not there, I am not here today. To my daughters, they don’t do anything, just there smile is enough to light my life up,” he said.

The director stated before leaving, “Last but not least, I come to my motherland, India, Bharat, Mera Bharat Mahan. Thank you. I’m grateful.”

In the categories of Best Foreign Film and Best Song, RRR’ won the Critics’ Choice Award.

The fictional story RRR is based on the experiences of Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two Telugu liberation warriors. Lead parts were played by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, respectively. The movie made more than 1,200 crore in box office revenue. Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Alia Bhatt also starred in the movie.
