AR Rahman on Indian films submitted for the Oscars
The renowned music composer and Oscar-winner AR Rahman recently shared his thoughts on Indian movies getting nominated for Best Foreign Feature. The Slumdog Millionaire crooner stated that occasionally India submits the “wrong movies” to compete during an interview with another music great L Subramaniam, which is available on the latter’s YouTube page. He stated: “I occasionally observe that despite being nominated for an Oscar, our films are unsuccessful. The Oscars are receiving the wrong films. And I’m simply saying, “Don’t,”.”

Moving further, he continued, “To understand what is going on, I must put myself in the position of a Westerner. To understand what they are doing, I need to be in their position.”
