Helpline and rehabilitation facilities for birds hurt while flying kites

Jaipur: The Greater Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has established a helpline number to be used in the coming days to report incidents of birds being hurt while flying kites. Numerous birds suffer injuries as a result of getting tangled in the kite-flying string.

0141 274 2181 is the helpline number to report these cases.

At several locations throughout the city, specialized rescue camps have been set up where people may bring their birds to receive treatment and first aid.

Triveni Nagar, Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar, Murlipura, Pratap Nagar, Vidyadhar Nagar, Apex Circle, Subhash Chauk, Chandpole Anaaj Mandi, Birla Mandir, Bhairav Circle, New Sanganer Road, Lal Kothi, and Indira Gandhi Nagar are the locations of these camps in Jagatpura.

Greater JMC has also assigned teams to various locations and made the phone numbers of these teams’ managers available so that anyone can call them for assistance if they see any injured birds.

For this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, preparations have been made.

Numerous non-governmental organizations have also started to get ready to save birds. There have been sent out volunteers.

Kite flying is already prohibited in Rajasthan for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening. In accordance with a ruling from the Rajasthan High Court, the ban has been implemented. During these times, birds are moving about the most. But it’s unlikely that anyone will follow these instructions.
