Pathirana saved 19 runs in the final over as Chennai defeated Bengaluru by 8 runs

In an exciting Indian Premier League (IPL) match, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by a score of 10 runs. At Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Chennai scored 226 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs while batting first after losing the toss. Bengaluru’s response was limited to 218 runs for 8 wickets.

Mathisha Pathirana of Chennai held off 19 runs in the final over. In addition to taking a wicket, he only allowed 10 runs in the over. CSK’s Devon Conway scored 83 runs, and Shivam Dubey added 52. Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell both scored 62 runs for Bangalore at the same time.

Turning Points.

The innings of Devon Conway of Chennai batted first after losing the toss and played an inning with 83 runs. He first collaborated on 74 runs with Ajinkya Rahane, and then 80 runs with Shivam Dubey. These partnerships allowed Chennai to score 226 runs in 20 overs.

the Maxwell-du Plessis collaboration

Bengaluru lost 2 wickets in the first few overs alone while attempting to reach the 227-run target. Then, off 61 balls, Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis combined for 121 runs.

Maxwell was out for 76 runs in the 13th over, and du Plessis was out for 62 runs in the 14th over. The rest of the RCB batsmen were unable to reach 67 runs in 36 balls after both were dismissed.

In 20 overs, Chennai lost 6 wickets.

Chennai scored 226 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. A pair of explosive half-centuries were scored by opener Devon Conway (83 off 45 balls) and Shivam Dubey (52 off 27 balls). Ajinkya Rahane scored 37 runs off 20 balls in addition to these two. Only 3 runs could be scored by Rituraj Gaikwad.

For Bangalore, Glenn Maxwell, Wayne Parnell, Vijaykumar Vaishakh, Mohammad Siraj, Vanindu Hasaranga, and Harshal Patel each took one wicket.

After losing the toss and electing to bat first, CSK had a poor start. In the third over alone, the team lost Rituraj Gaikwad’s wicket. Then Devon Conway and Ajinkya Rahane combined for a partnership of 37 runs off 22 balls. The team lost one wicket while scoring 53 runs in just six overs.

Fifty in 25 balls by Dubey

Shivam Dubey, who batted at position four for Chennai, reached fifty runs in 25 balls. This is his fourth overall and first IPL fifty of the current campaign. Dubey hit two fours and five sixes in this inning. He also collaborated on an 80-run effort with Devon Conway.

Devon Conway, the opener for the Chennai Super Kings, reached his second half-century of the year and his fifth overall. Conway managed to hold one end even after the first wicket fell. He batted 83 runs on 45 balls in one inning. His strike rate for runs scored was 184.44. Six fours and six sixes were part of Conway’s innings. Conway notched his fifth half-century of his career and second in the IPL this year.

When Maxwell bowled Virat, he handled.

Bengaluru lost the wickets of Virat Kohli and Mahipal Lomror in the first two overs of their chase of a 227-run target. Paaf du Plessis then batted, scoring 60 runs off of Glenn Maxwell’s 4 overs. The team lost two wickets while scoring 75 runs in just six overs.

Bangalore lost 2 wickets in just 2 overs while attempting to reach the 227-run target. Glenn Maxwell and captain Faf du Plessis then launched an explosive batting performance. Du Plessis scored fifty runs in 23 balls, while Maxwell scored 24. Both scored heavily.

After scoring 76 runs in 36 balls, Glenn Maxwell was stopped. He was directed to the pavilion by Mahish Teekshana. Before being dismissed, he and du Plessis added 126 runs in 61 balls.

Maxwell and du Plessis had nearly won their team for RCB in the final over, but after both were out, the team was unable to score 84 runs in 7 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed scored 12, Dinesh Karthik 28, Suyash Prabhudesai 19, and Wayne Parnell scored 2 runs for the team’s remaining batsmen. Vanindu Hasaranga continued to be unbeaten despite scoring two runs.

From Chennai, Tushar Deshpande took three wickets and Mathish Pathirana two. Moin Ali, Mahish Teekshana, and Akash Singh each took one wicket.
