Fastag increased toll collection from Rs 22,820 crore to Rs 50,855 crore in five years, doubling the government’s revenue

More than 964 toll booths across the nation use the FASTag system. The majority of these toll booths are in Madhya Pradesh. There are 143 toll plazas where FASTag is being used to collect toll. However, Uttar Pradesh is on the second number in this instance, where 114 toll booths are covered by this system.

FASTag can be purchased at any toll booth in the country. Aside from that, you can purchase it from any Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI, or Kotak Bank branch. You can also purchase it through online platforms such as Paytm, Amazon, and Google Pay. You can also use this app to make payments by linking your Fastag account.

You can connect your bank account to this app if you want. Toll tax will be deducted from your account whenever you pass through a toll plaza with this. You must have ID proof and a vehicle registration document when purchasing a FAS Tag.

The fastag sticker has a five-year shelf life after which it needs to be renewed.

Once purchased, the FAS Tag sticker is good for five years. This indicates that you will need to replace the sticker or extend its validity after five years.
