Jerrod Carmichael is the host of the 80th Golden Globe 2023 Awards show, which airs live on NBC and Peacock. The 80th Golden Globe Awards marks the first broadcast of the yearly extravaganza since NBC decided not to air the 2022 ceremony as a result of an ethics, financial, and diversity scandal involving the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization that organizes the awards. The ceremony will present awards in both the film and television categories, as in previous years.

Two nominations for the Golden Globes go to SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”

The historical drama “RRR,” directed by SS Rajamouli, has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards to be held in January 2023. RRR has received nominations from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) for Best Picture: Non-English Language and Best Original Song. The word “Naatu”

‘RRR’ is a pre-independence story set in the 1920s that revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, was released in five languages worldwide in March. RRR is the only Indian film to make the final five out of a slew of other Indian entries, including Gangubai Kathiawadi, Kantara, and Chhello Show.

Other important RRR facts:

Previously, there was a demand to send the film to the Oscars, but due to the official entry in that award function, this film was left out.

The New York Film Critics Circle’s Best Director Award was recently given to director SS Rajamouli for the movie.

The only Indian movie to be nominated for an international award is “RRR.”

The South Korean film RRR, which has been released in many languages, is well-liked all over the world.
