An forthcoming Hindi comedy film called Hera Pheri 3 is being made by Feroz Nadiadwala Reaand directed by Neeraj Vora. It is the third entry in the Hera Pheri film series and a sequel to the 2006 film Phir Hera Pheri. Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty, two actors, will return to their roles from the previous two movies. Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, two new actors, have joined the main cast. Filming has started on Hera Pheri 3, which is scheduled to premiere on August 25th, 2016.

Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal, who would be reprising their roles from the previous films as Shyam and Baburao, respectively, and director Neeraj Vora said they will return to directing after the last movie. Raju was portrayed by actor Akshay Kumar in the prequels.
