Famous actor, Yashpal Sharma, Director Raju Maan, and Writer, Film Critic, Tejas Poonia were invited to the show on Credent Tv. Actor Yashpal Sharma is currently working on the Haryanvi film being directed by Raju Maan called “Dada Lakhmi Chand.” The film is a surety to hit the box office.

How does Dada Lakhmi inspire to become a film?

Yashpal Sharma and Raju Maan say, “Natsamrat, a Marathi movie star casting Nana Patekar has inspired me a lot to make a film on Dada Lakhmi. I have done immense and deep research through books, and papers, and even traveled to places where his acquaintances stay. Dada Lakhmi was a great Indian poet of the Haryanvi language who deserves acclamation worldwide.I am sure this movie will create history in Haryana just like he did.”

Dada has originally written about 86 bhajans, 23 songs, 1000+ couplets, etc.

What can be the role of choice for an actor?

Yashpal Sharma says “It’s the direction, role, content, no adult content, no abusive language for me. Several roles are to be played sometimes to earn money even after being unsatisfied with the subject of the movie. But one principle that I’ve followed in my career of acting is that I have never acted in a film in which my role wasn’t making an impact.”

Regional Cinema over the years

If you want to go into the roots, you should watch regional cinema. Haryana Cinema wasn’t active earlier but it has come alive after movies like Pagdi, Satrangi, etc.

Social Impact of Cinema in India

Organizer Dr. Rakesh Kumar says, “Films are made for society and it has emotions. So, they should be made on the topics with which the emotions of the society are connected.”

There are two kinds of cinema in India. Commercial and Sensible Cinema. Films are made of passion, not money. Commercial cinema aims to make only money out of it whereas Sensible cinema aims to contribute to the betterment of society.

What matters in a movie the most- Film direction, Content or?

Tejas Poonia says, “The story should be something that you can be proud of as it should be appealing. What matters the most is the storyline. The direction, content, acting, cinematography, etc. can be ignored to some extent if the story is commendable. To watch a good movie is equivalent to reading a good book. There are works which are underrated but deserve huge fame and acclamation.”

How is OTT taking the place of Cinema Hall?

Cinema Hall is irreplaceable. OTT is just on the small screen. Surely it can be watched anywhere like bathroom, car, bed, etc but the pleasure of watching a film on the big screen in a dark room with amplifying sound effects is different.

Undoubtedly, OTT has benefitted us because it has given work opportunities to many actors, directors, and many people who were struggling to get a chance in big films. It has also promoted regional cinema.
