Many schools in Jaipur start online classes in wake of the cold wave

Schools in Jaipur

While some schools in Jaipur have extended the winter break until January 14, many others have begun offering online classes. The decision was made in light of the state’s widespread cold wave conditions.

In order to conduct online classes, Saint Anslem School in the Mansarovar area has requested that the pupils download a meeting app. Similar steps have been implemented by several other municipal schools.

These steps have been done for younger students in classes one through eight.

The Jaipur district government had initially requested that schools be closed until January 7, but when the chilly weather persisted, the winter break was extended to January 14.

Many other schools invited students to enroll in online programs while some chose to remain closed. Students are required to attend lessons online for the first time since the COVID-19 epidemic era.

The city is experiencing a cold wave, therefore the parents demanded that schools proclaim holidays. The schools had initially intended to hold evening classes. However, the temperature dropped even lower, and the fog made it harder to see on the roads.

The past five nights have seen below-average nighttime temperatures, according to the Met department. The January temperature has fallen below 5°C for the first time ever.

The Met department predicts a little break in the frigid weather during the following few days.

On January 14, the city will observe Makar Sankranti. The fact that they will be able to fly kites throughout the holidays makes the kids thrilled.

“I’m glad that schools won’t be in session until January 14.” In the afternoon, I’ll be able to fly kites,” declared class 5 pupil Arnav Sharma.
