Pakistan's PM Shehbaz Sharif

“Let’s sit down, speak, and find solutions to hot concerns like Kashmir,” Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Tuesday, Pakistan’s Shehbaz Sharif called for “serious and earnest” discussions with India’s Narendra Modi regarding “burning issues, particularly Kashmir.”

Shehbaz stated, “India is a very fraternal country, and we have always shared brotherly relations and it is unique, in an interview with the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news programme. Pakistan has learned its lesson; as a result of our three wars with India, there is now more suffering, unemployment, and poverty in the country. As long as we can address our difficulties, we want to live in peace with India.

“It is up to us whether we coexist quietly and advance or fight and squander time and money. I want to convey to PM Modi that we want to reduce poverty, achieve prosperity, and offer our people access to jobs, healthcare, and educational opportunities rather than squandering resources on bombs and ammunition.

He stated, “My message to Indian prime minister Narendra Modi is — Let’s sit, speak, and bring to the table all our difficulties and find a settlement for hot issues like Kashmir,” implying that the leadership of the UAE might play a significant role in bringing India and Pakistan to the table.Shehbaz continued to reiterate Pakistan’s claims that minorities in India are being “persecuted” on the subject of Article 370. “We are ready for negotiations and peace,” he continued.

Why Article 370 was removed?

The Indian Supreme Court declared in April 2018 that since the state constituent assembly had ceased to function, Article 370 had become permanent. Despite the fact that Article 370 is still a part of the constitution, the Indian government decided to declare it “inoperative” in order to get around this legal problem.

Who wrote 370 article?

Article 370, which gave the state of Jammu and Kashmir local autonomy, was mostly drafted by Ayyangar.
