The third T20 game between India vs Sri Lanka took place in Rajkot at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. In the second game held in Pune, Sri Lanka earned the only victory in this series. In this game, Indian captain Hardik Pandya chose to bat first after winning the toss. Team India scored 228 runs for five wickets in 20 overs while batting first. The Sri Lankan team’s score was reduced to 137 runs in 16.4 overs as a result. The Sri Lankan batsmen lacked consistency, and wickets continued to fall one after another.

Suryakumar Yadav made an unbeaten 112 off 51 balls for India. Rahul Tripathi scored 35 runs, and Shubman Gill contributed 46. For Sri Lanka, Dilshan Madushanka secured two wickets. Batting for the Lankan team, Kushal Mendis and captain Dasun Shanaka scored 23 and 23 runs, respectively. For India, Arshdeep Singh secured a maximum of three wickets. Each Hardik Pandya, Umran Malik, and Yuzvendra Chahal scored twice. Akshar Patel only recorded one wicket.

The two teams will now play a series of three one-day international matches. On January 10, the opening match will take place in Guwahati. On January 12, the second game will take place at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Following this, the series’ final game will be played on January 15 in
Thiruvananthapuram.
