Commotion late at night in Jantar Mantar as wrestlers Vinesh Phogat protesting claim cops mistreated them

Sakshi Malik, the bronze medalist from the Rio Olympics, broke down in tears over the dispute with the police, and Vinesh Phogat was captured in a video from the scene shouting with the officials.

“The streets are damp because it rained today. We were working to transport a bed to the protest site for that reason. They mistreat us. Bajrang Punia, a medalist from the Tokyo Olympics, told reporters, “This is how they appreciate daughters.

There were several men who attempted to bring cots to the demonstration site, according to a senior police officer. They were combative when police questioned them about it, and the demonstrators joined them. They unjustly restrained a police officer and declared him intoxicated. That is untrue. There are currently additional officers on the scene, and the situation is under control. No protesters were assaulted.

Meanwhile, L-G VK Saxena was tagged in a tweet by AAP minister Saurabh Bharadwaj asking him to pay attention to a supposed video of a confrontation between the protesters and the police.

He tweeted, “A medical examination should be carried out, and the victim’s MLC should also be registered,” adding the handle of the Delhi Police Commissioner to the message.

Somnath Bharti, an AAP MLA, claimed that he was being held by the Delhi police as a result of his demand for folding cots for the wrestlers at Jantar Mantar.

According to DCP New Delhi Pranav Tayal, Mr. Somnath Bharti entered the protest area with folding beds without authorization during the Jantar Mantar demonstration. Upon intervention, the fans became combative and attempted to remove the truck’s beds. After a brief altercation, Mr. Somnath Bharti and 2 other people were taken into custody.
