The top wrestlers from India said that the police had mistreated and assaulted them, which caused commotion at Jantar Mantar late on Wednesday night. The wrestlers’ attempt to carry bedding to the protest location appears to have been the catalyst for the most recent altercation.

Meanwhile, L-G VK Saxena was tagged in a tweet by AAP minister Saurabh Bharadwaj asking him to pay attention to a supposed video of a confrontation between the protesters and the police.

Somnath Bharti, an AAP MLA, claimed that he was being held by the Delhi police as a result of his demand for folding cots for the wrestlers at Jantar Mantar.
According to DCP New Delhi Pranav Tayal, Mr. Somnath Bharti entered the protest area with folding beds without authorization during the Jantar Mantar demonstration. Upon intervention, the fans became combative and attempted to remove the truck’s beds. After a brief altercation, Mr. Somnath Bharti and 2 other people were taken into custody.
