. The 2023 Henley Passport Index was released by Henley & Partners, a company that publishes passport rankings.

Third place also belongs to South Korea, Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, and Sweden. The British passport is in fourth place and the American passport is eighth in the ranking.
How is the order decided?
Twice a year, this ranking is made public. The first time the indices are released is in January, and the second time is in July. Henley Passport Visa Index’s website states that real-time data is updated all year long. Changes in visa regulations are also considered. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) provided the data.
The ranking is determined by how many other nations a country’s passport holder can visit without first obtaining a visa. He won’t need to apply for a visa in advance for this.
