“Look at the BJP’s dictatorship! The Modi hatao desh bachao posters led to the imprisonment of Aam Aadmi Party members in Gujarat under a number of IPC sections! What else could this be if not a fear of Modi and the BJP? Put forth all your effort! Workers for the Aam Aadmi Party will fight, Mr. Gadhvi tweeted.

The “Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao” campaign of the AAP was introduced nationwide in 11 different languages. Posters have also been made available in Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu, Bengali, Oriya, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi in addition to English, Hindi, and Urdu.Numerous PM-targeting posters descended upon the nation’s capital’s walls last week, sparking a massive police operation that resulted in the filing of 49 FIRs and the arrest of six people. Two of the men detained were printers.

According to the Delhi Police, the arrests were made for vandalising government property and because the posters did not bear the name of the printing press that produced them, as required by law.Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, responded to the arrests by claiming that even the British did not detain people who displayed anti-British posters during the independence movement.

According to Mr. Kejriwal, who was quoted by the news agency PTI, “Even before independence, when freedom fighters used to put up posters, there were no FIRs or action against them by the British.”  Despite the fact that Bhagat Singh had numerous posters pasted during the British era, not a single FIR was ever filed against him.

AAP won five seats and 13% of the popular vote in the Gujarat Assembly elections last year. The BJP won 156 elections in the 182-seat Assembly, as was predicted.
