Rashmi Shukla, a senior member of the Indian Police Service (IPS), has been named the organization’s director general (SSB). The unit stationed along the border between Nepal and Bhutan is known as the SSB. Rashmi Shukla, an IPS officer from the Maharashtra cadre and a 1988 batch member, was assigned to the Central Reserve Police (CRPF). When the phones of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and Nationalist Congress Party leader Eknath Khadse were reportedly tapped in 2019, she was in charge of the State Intelligence Department of the Maharashtra Police.

The appointment of Rashmi Shukia, IPS (MH:88), currently Additional DG, CRPF, as Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), at Level-16 of Pay Matrix, from the date of joining the post and up to 30.06.2024, i.e. the date of her superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier, has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
