Jamia Millia Islamia Library Uses Automated Attendance to Prevent “Outsiders”

The university has also launched an e-Library mobile app, Jamia Millia Islamia Libraryallows students to access thousands of zzbooks online. These two services were launched in conjunction with the opening of an exhibition on the Holy Quran.

New Delhi:- Jamia Millia Islamia University replaced the manual attendance system in its central library with an automated one on Wednesday to limit the entry of “outsiders,” according to an official.

The university has also launched an e-Library mobile app, which allows students to access thousands of books online. These two services were launched in conjunction with the opening of an exhibition on the Holy Quran.

Prof. Nazim Husian Al-Jafri, Registrar of Jamia Millia Islamia, introduced the “e-Library MobileApp” and the “Automated In/Out Attendance System of Library Users” at the Dr. Zakir Husain Library.

The manual attendance system that was previously used will be replaced by the Automated In/Out Attendance System of Library Users… Users of the library have expressed their satisfaction with the quick and simple bar code technology attendance system. Outsiders won’t be able to enter, an official said.

Along with this, we also introduced the E-Library MobileApp, which will allow legitimate library users access to information whenever and wherever they want.

In front of deans, directors, faculty, staff, and university students, Prof. Nazim Husian Al-Jafri also opened the exhibition on the Holy Quran.

A unique collection of Holy Quran manuscripts from the fifteenth century is on display. Additionally, the exhibit features never-before-seen translations of the Holy Quran in a variety of Indian languages, such as Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, as well as in foreign languages, such as Japanese, French, German, and Russian.
