Militants release Pak Minister after brief kidnapping, gives 10-day deadline to fulfil demands
Terrorists have blocked the highway connecting Pakistan’s province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Gilgit-Baltistan, demanding the release of their jailed comrades. After this, a senior minister Baig Hunza and two foreign nationals trapped there were kidnapped. Baig Hunza is an MLA from Imran Khan‘s party PTI. The kidnapper has now been approached for the release of all. The kidnappers then released the minister. The condition has been laid that their demands should be fulfilled within 10 days, otherwise the result will be bad.
Meanwhile, while giving the latest information, Pakistani media said that terrorists of GB’s most wanted terrorist commander Habibur Rahman faction have blocked the road in Thak village of Chilas in Diamer. Traffic on the road was completely affected and passengers were stuck on both sides. Habibur Rahman is accused of killing 10 foreigners in Nanga Parbat. Sources said that the terrorists whose release is being demanded have been involved in the killing of foreigners.(Credenttv.com)
Minister’s audio clip surfaced
At the same time, an audio of GB’s senior minister Abaidullah Baig has also surfaced in social media. In the audio, Baig is heard saying that he was going from Islamabad to Gilgit. But the terrorists blocked the highway midway, demanding the release of their associates from jail. However, after some time when an attempt was made to contact the minister, his mobile phone was switched off. Now efforts are on to contact the kidnapper.
Foreigners were murdered in the hotel
In 2013, these gunmen targeted mountaineers going to Nanga Parbat in Gilgit-Baltistan. Gunmen shot dead nine tourists and a Pakistani guide, including nationals from China, Ukraine and Russia.
