After the results were released this month, the NEET exam controversy—nearly 24 lakh students took the qualifying exam for admission to medical colleges on May 5—broke out

The National Testing Agency’s Delhi office was briefly overrun by a crowd of 100 employees from the NSUI, or National Students Union of India, the student wing of the Congress party. The agency is being investigated for question paper leaks and other irregularities in this year’s NEET-UG exams.

Police are now heavily stationed at the NTA office in the Okhla region of Delhi.

Early images showed a mob charging at the NTA building while chanting and screaming as they marched down a street bordered with trees.

In one video, there is a placard that reads “no more corrupt NTA” fastened to a metal padlock on a door, which is probably the front entrance. Images taken from within the structure depict demonstrators assembling in a courtyard with additional anti-NTA posters.

Shortly after the Indian Youth Congress, the youth wing of the Congress, staged a protest outside Parliament during President Droupadi Murmu’s joint session, the student wing followed suit. She stated that the government is “committed to a fair investigation” of the whole NEET test controversy.

The first warning signs were the remarkably high percentage of flawless marks; in the extremely tough exam, 67 pupils, including six from one coaching center, achieved a maximum score of 720. Concerns were also raised over the 1, 563 students who received “grace marks”—not test protocol, according to the NTA.

The CBI has taken over the inquiry following a rush of police force arrests from Bihar, Maharashtra, and Delhi. National corruption may be implicated, according to agency sources who spoke with NDTV.

The federal authorities detained Manish Kumar and Ashutosh earlier today, marking their first arrests.

According to CBI sources, Kumar helped move the children to a vacant school where they were handed the leaked exam paper to memorize and Ashutosh gave them accommodation.
Supreme Court Notification To NTA

In response to a petition alleging that the May NEET-UG exam was rigged, the Supreme Court sent a notice to the exam authority this afternoon. The court ordered the NTA to provide a response by July 8.
