Uttarakhand Receptionist Murder: Ex BJP Leader Vinod Arya said his son is innocent boy

Credent TV | The father of the primary suspect in the murder of a receptionist in Uttarakhand, former BJP leader Vinod Arya, today referred to his son, Pulkit Arya as a Seedha sadha balak (a simple boy).
Vinod Arya maintained his son’s innocence and refuted all accusations made against Pulkit Arya.

“Sadha Seedha Balak (he is a simple boy). His whole focus is on his work. Both my son Pulkit and the deceased woman, Ankita Bhandari, need justice “said Mr. Arya.

According to Mr. Arya, Pulkit had been living apart from them for a while.

His comments come a day after the BJP expelled him and his son Ankit Arya, the accused’s sibling, in the wake of intense backlash over the death of Ankita Bhandari.

However, Mr. Arya asserted that he personally left the party yesterday in order to guarantee a fair and unbiased investigation of the matter.

“Even though Pulkit is innocent, I left the BJP to ensure a fair probe. Ankit, my kid, has also quit, “said he.

The 19-year-old woman, Ankita Bhandari, works as a receptionist at a Rishikesh resort owned by Pulkit Arya, who was also detained on Friday along with the facility’s manager, Saurabh Bhaskar, and assistant manager, Ankit Gupta.

According to an investigation based on Ankita Bhandari’s cellphone communication history and the accused’s interrogation, she was under pressure to provide “special services” to resort visitors but refused, according to state police chief Ashok Kumar.

“The woman had sent WhatsApp messages to her close friend describing her suffering days before she went missing,” he said.

One of her messages stated, “They are attempting to make me into a prostitute.”

After a dispute, the three males allegedly beat the girl and shoved her into a canal close to the resort, according to sources.

An earlier report said that the woman’s Facebook buddy was murdered because she turned down the resort’s 10,000 offer to have sex with resort guests.

Mr. Kumar stated that the police will see to it that the culprit receives the “strictest possible punishment” for the heinous crime and that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Deputy Inspector General of Police Renuka Devi is currently looking into the situation.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who pledged “the hardest action” in the case, issued a decision that led to the formation of the SIT.

The woman’s body was found by police in Rishikesh’s Chilla canal early on Saturday. According to the preliminary autopsy report, the woman drowned to death, and there were traces of blunt force trauma throughout her body.

As information about her death spread, tense demonstrations erupted near the resort in Rishikesh, with people destroying windows and others attempting to set a pickle factory on the property ablaze.
On Friday, while the accused men were being driven to court, an enraged mob also attacked the police vehicle.
Late on Friday night, local officials dismantled a portion of Pulkit Arya’s resort because they said it was constructed “illegally.” Her family has questioned the state government’s action and claimed that the destruction was done to obliterate evidence.
