Police case registered under sections 354 and 509 against those who pushed girls to remove their bras at Kerala NEET exam center

Credent TV | In conjunction with an alleged occurrence, Kollam district of Kerala police said that ladies who took the NEET exam were allegedly told to take off their bras before taking the test.

On the grounds of an allegation from a girl who allegedly encountered a painful experience while taking the NEET exam at a private educational institute in Ayur in the Kollam district on Sunday, police said a case has been registered under IPC Sections 354 [Assault or criminal force to a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty] and 509 [Word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman].
They said that an inquiry had been started and that the friskers who were allegedly engaged in the conduct would soon be detained. The complaint was lodged when a group of female cops recorded the girl’s testimony.
The problem was made public on Monday when a 17-year-old girl’s father informed the media that his daughter was taking her first-ever NEET test and was still reeling from the painful experience of having to take the more than 3-hour-long test without a bra.
