       DAV Sports Meet: State-Level Championship (GIRLS)

A three-day DAV Sports Meet, State Level championship for Girls (U-14, U-16 & U-19) was organized from 14 December ’23 to 16 December ’23 at DAV Public School, Talwandi Kota under the aegis of DAV CMC, New Delhi.

Shri A K Sharma, Principal DAV CPS, Jaipur, ARO, and Zonal Head, unfurled the flag, marking the official inauguration, which was followed by the DAV Anthem. He emphasized the need to imbibe qualities of discipline, sportsmanship spirit and to never be disappointed by failure in life. He further added that sports make us healthy and strong and teach us to embrace both victories and defeats gracefully.

This prestigious sporting gala brought together approximately 150 enthusiastic sportspersons from 18 DAV Schools across Rajasthan, engaging in spirited competitions encompassing team games and track & field events. A great deal of enthusiasm was seen in the students and faculty members.

Under this, the first day of December 14, Table Tennis Under-19, Yoga Under 14-19, Badminton Under 14-17-19 competitions were held.

 Athletics and Kabaddi competitions were organized on 15th December.

Volleyball Under-19 and Basketball Under-19 were organized on the last day on 16th December. As the three-day extravaganza concluded on 16 December’23, medals were awarded to the deserving winners, acknowledging their outstanding performances and dedication. The students of DAV, Jaipur gave their best performance and earned many gold medals, silver medals and bronze medals.

This year, DAV State and National Sports has become even more important with the recognition of DAV Sports by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Welfare.

The closing ceremony witnessed the dignified lowering of the flag by Principal Mrs.Poonam Singh, DAV Public School, Kota, Cluster Head. She appreciated the best performance of all the players and said that extra-curricular activities should be an indispensable part of every student’s life. She also extended her best wishes for the National level.
