Hero MotoCorp to plug into Ather Grid to recharge Vida V1 electric scooters

Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy opened its fast charging network Ather Grid for charging vehicles of other EV makers about a year ago. During this time Hero MotoCorp has become the first major brand to officially take advantage of this offer from Ather. India’s largest two-wheeler maker recently launched its electric scooter manufacturing brand Vida, which made its debut earlier this month with two models V1 Plus and V1 Pro electric scooters. After this initiative of Hero MotoCorp, now customers of Vida V1 e-scooter will be able to use Ather Energy’s fast charging network.(Credenttv.com)
Earlier this month, Hero Vida launched the V1 Plus and V1 Pro electric scooters at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). At the same time, the ex-showroom price of the top Modus V1 Pro goes up to Rs 1.59 lakh. It competes with other electric scooters like the Ather 450X Gen 3 (Ather 450X Gen3), Ola S1 (Ola S1) and S1 Pro (S1 Pro), TVS iQube (TVS iQube) and Bajaj Chetak (Bajaj Chetak) in its segment in the Indian market. Will hit
Tarun Mehta, Founder and CEO, Ather Energy said, “Hero MotoCorp is excited to be the first OEM to go live on this. This will make charging easier for millions of EV owners in the years to come.” Ather Grid is a network of fast chargers for electric two wheelers. Ather Energy currently has over 350 such Ather grids spread across more than 30 cities across the country.
Ather Energy in August last year offered to use its fast charging network to other electric two-wheeler makers in an effort to share EV infrastructure amid rising EV sales in India. Announcing the initiative, Mehta said, “Any OEM can use these in their vehicles and chargers for free. Ather will also help integrate and support the industry at no cost.”
The V1 Pro electric scooter boasts of an IDC range of 165 km on a single charge. Whereas the V1 Plus has an IDC-claimed range of 143 km. Both the EVs support fast charging and can cover a distance of about 1.2 km with every minute of charging with the help of DC fast charger.
