Skoda Auto is offering discounts for the first time on its flagship models Skoda Kushaq compact SUV and Skoda Slavia mid-size sedan this festive season. Ahead of the festivities of Dhanteras and Diwali, Skoda has announced huge discounts on both the models in an attempt to make the most of the festive shopping spree.

Skoda launched the Slavia mid-size sedan earlier this year in two trims. This car competes with Honda City, Volkswagen Vertus in the Indian market. At the same time, the Kushaq SUV, which is currently Skoda’s best-selling car, is approaching its first anniversary this month. No benefits are being offered on other Skoda models like Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq.

Skoda Kushaq SUV is getting a discount of up to Rs.30,000. This includes exchange bonus and corporate discount or loyalty benefits, with Rs 15,000 each. Apart from these incentives, Skoda is also offering a complimentary service maintenance package for four years to the customers of its Kushak SUV.

Skoda Kushaq is now officially the safest compact SUV car on Indian roads. In the recent Global NCAP crash test, this SUV has flagged. Kushak has achieved a 5-star rating in both adult and child safety outcomes. thereby making it one of the first Indian SUVs to receive the highest safety rating by the global agency. The second SUV to achieve a similar feat is the Volkswagen Taigun.

The Skoda Kushak SUV is available in 13 variants in India with prices starting from Rs 11.29 Lakh to Rs 19.49 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Kushaq competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor in the compact SUV segment.

Skoda is also offering discounts on its first mid-size sedan in India, the Skoda Slavia. The Czech carmaker is offering benefits like exchange bonus, corporate discount or loyalty bonus on Slavia just like Kushak. 15,000 as exchange bonus while the other two get a discount of Rs 10,000. Skoda is also offering the same service maintenance package to the Slavia buyers like the Kushak.

Skoda Slavia comes with two engine options. Prices of 1.0-litre petrol Slavia start at Rs 10.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-range 1.5-litre TSI automatic variant of the Slavia will now cost Rs 18.39 lakh (ex-showroom) instead of the launch price of Rs 17.79 lakh.
