PM Modi inaugurates AIIMS Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Himachal Pradesh today i.e. on Wednesday. PM Modi inaugurated the newly built AIIMS i.e. All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. The foundation stone of this AIIMS was laid by Prime Minister Modi in 2017. It is being told that more than Rs 1470 crore has been spent in the construction of this AIIMS. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and BJP President JP Nadda were also present on the occasion.

According to a statement issued by the PMO i.e. Prime Minister’s Office, during the Himachal tour, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth Rs 3,650 crore. After inaugurating AIIMS, PM Modi inspected the hospital. After this, he will also address a public meeting after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of several schemes at the local Luhnu Maidan. Prime Minister Modi will also attend the Kullu Dussehra celebrations.

Highlights of Bilaspur AIIMS
According to the government, the Bilaspur AIIMS has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1470 crore. It will have 18 specialty and 17 super specialty departments. Also 18 state-of-the-art surgery rooms, 750 beds, with 64 ICU beds. This hospital is spread over 247 acres and will have round the clock treatment facility.

PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of which project?
Among the projects for which PM Modi will lay the foundation stone, the 31 km long national highway between Pinjore and Nalagarh will also be made four-laning. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a medical park in Nalagarh. It will be constructed at a cost of Rs 350 crore. The PMO said that these schemes will create huge employment opportunities in the area. The Prime Minister will also participate in the International Kullu Dussehra celebrations. It will be organized from October 5 to 11.
