St. Xavier’s ‘Runs for Peace’

22 Nov. I Jaipur The chill of the morning could not deter the determined young hearts as they asserted ‘ We stand for peace’ and eagerly waited for the flag-off of this 5 Kilometre race.  This was the 73^nd Annual Cross Country Marathon held on 22^nd November 2014. “ It is heartening to see such a big turn-out of children especially when the cause is so relevant like Peace.” proclaimed Rev. Fr. John Ravi SJ, the Principal. The Chief Guest, Mr Haider Ali, DCP-Jaipur and himself an alumnus of St. Xavier’s remarked “ Physical training is an integral part of the Jesuit Education since inception and has become a part of our legacy .The way these kids take such strenuous challenges with ease is certainly praise-worthy.”

Dr. R. S. Rana, Director of Physical Education Department declared Harsh Vohra of 11 Std. as the winner in the Boys’ category and Saumya Chouhan of the 8 Std. in the Girls’ category. AMUL India Ltd. sponsored the refreshments for the participants.
