Yellow Rose Award for TIGER 24 at the Jaipur International Film Festival

11 January, New Delhi, India: The winners of the 15th edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival were honored at the Maharana Pratap Auditorium. The festival will continue through January 10, 2023. The documentary feature “Tiger 24” by Warren Pereira won the Yellow Rose Award.

When a wild tiger in “Tiger 24” kills males who enter his territory, he is labeled a man-eater and imprisoned in a zoo. Massive social unrest results from this, as activists take their cause to the highest courts in India, including the Jaipur High Court, as well as the streets, the internet, billboards, and other public spaces.

“TIGER 24’s story takes place in Jaipur and with the cooperation of local government officials, conservationists, and activists, thus I am extremely thrilled to get an award from the Jaipur International Film Festival for TIGER 24,” the filmmaker said. —Warren Pereira, Tiger24’s director.
